It is incredible to think that Melissa's humble beginnings would turn into our full service bakery. We have an amazing team that spans from office personnel, to bakery clerks, to cake artists. Here at Melissa's, our employees pride themselves in the products that we put out daily. Each and every item is intricately crafted by one of our staff. Our team members put their heart and soul into their jobs and as you can see... their passion is infinite!

Melissa - Owner
Melissa was born and raised in Long Beach, Mississippi. She has been married to her husband, Randy, for 27 wonderful years, has two daughters, and two granddaughters. Melissa has always had artistic talents. Most of her early artistry was through drawing, painting, crafting, and sewing. It wasn't until her late 30s that she discovered her talent of cake artistry. From the early days of decorating cakes, a dream was planted in her heart. She longed for a bakery of her own. After overcoming a battle with cancer she set forth on that path. Finally, she opened her very own bakery. Melissa prides herself in the reputation that Melissa's Bakery has established. She thanks each and every one of our customers for their loyal support throughout the years.

Faren - Operations Manager
Faren has been with the bakery from the very beginning. She has worked in many aspects of the business, but has found her place as our Operations Manager. She handles the daily business dealings of Melissa's from policy, to employees, to managing social media. Her love for the bakery is as endless as her job duties!
